Engagement sessions should be fun. Like all portraiture, it's preferable to shoot them 'on location'. That is, somewhere that's comfortable, interesting and complementary to you. A familiar or at least informal place adds to the experience. This creates a 'context' for the photograph that is more natural, which enhance the sense of who you are. I also shoot as much as possible with the available light. It's authenticity is always complementary. |
