About portraits:

I shoot almost exclusively "environmental portraiture", often called "location portraiture".

Simply put, I typically photograph in your space - your home, a favorite location or a place you & I find interesting and complementary to what you want from the portrait.

I do this for a variety of reasons, familiar spaces are more comfortable, especially for children.  Also, it being your space, it can create a 'context' for the picture, a feeling about what's important to you.

Additionally, a more natural, less artificial setting enhances the sense of who you are. It’s more authentic & can add it’s own unique qualities.
