Located near Tuftonboro and Wolfeboro, NH

Very private cove across from a loon sanctuary. Miles of hiking paths on middle of 522 acre Cow Island
Very safe swimming off dock (shown) & point (tiny, tiny sand beach). Faces the sunset.

Nearest Services: Nineteen Mile Bay groceries, gas & fast food (ice cream stand, too). Ten minutes by boat.

This is an island! Yes, you need a boat to get here! Or be a very strong swimmer . . .

Boat Rentals are available through most of the Lake Winnipesaukee marinas. See "Lake Links" below.

Requisite rocking chairs...lots of them!

SORRY - single families only
(we are just not set up for parties, multiple families or groups)
there are 4 adult beds (3 singles & double) and two very cool built-in kid size beds

no smoking

no pets - well, maybe...check with me.

Downstairs bedroom & full (shower) bath entrance

Cove is excellent for swimming but there is a small beach at the point, too. Lots of kid size fish! And the occasional bass...

Small, fully equipped kitchen. Wood stove to right, deck on 2 sides.

Well it's just a little cabin in the woods, on the nation's prettiest lake, comfortable and quiet.
Now that I think about it, that's pretty wonderful.

Hand built in 1988, well maintained but rustic in style. Professionally decorated by J.Covington Interior Design,
of Portsmouth, NH

Fully equipped home built in log cabin style.
Docking for two boats (we've had a 30 footer docked here).
Large decks on two sides.

Bathroom with shower downstairs; kitchen with frig, gas stove,
microwave, cooking and eating utensils; electric power. No TV!
Wood stove; large smoker/barbecue. No dish or clothes washer..no TV.

FYI: there is pretty good cell service at the island - Verizon plus others....

Downstairs bedroom (two single beds that can be configured together or apart).
Upstairs sleeping loft with four beds (double, single & two built-in singles).

If there is a "Reserved", you are welcome to email me and I'll let you know if and/or when it comes available - please specify the date(s) you want.
